Toothsome Opens a 10th Anniversary Section, and Atlantic’s Fall Menu Lasted a Day
Universal CityWalk’s chocolate parlor dug dishes out of its 2016 opening menu and added a $20 anniversary shake. Over at Epic Universe, Atlantic’s fall menu came and went in a single day.

Four Orlando restaurants changed their menus on September 11. One of them changed it back.
Toothsome turns 10 and raids its own back catalog
The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen opened at Universal CityWalk in September 2016, and its menu now has a section to prove it: "10th Anniversary Celebration."
The centerpiece is the Cheers to 10 Years! Milkshake — $20.00 for a chocolate and NUTELLA® shake topped with a chocolate cupcake, chocolate gears and a chocolate candle, served in a chocolate-dipped mason jar. Vegetarian, for whatever that is worth here.
Word came from inside the restaurant before the menu caught up, with a detail the menu leaves out: the shake's base is Dutch chocolate ice cream blended with Nutella.
The other five are savory, and they are the fun part:
- Gnocchi — $29.95 — grilled chicken breast, sweet peppers, rapini, mole cream sauce.
- Grilled Steak Sandwich — $24.95 — caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, tomato jam, arugula, horseradish crema, French baguette.
- Sedona BBQ Chicken Salad — $22.95 — chipotle grilled chicken, roasted corn, black beans, avocado, pepper jack, chipotle lime vinaigrette. Gluten sensitive.
- Forest Mushroom Flatbread — $18.95 — goat cheese, caramelized onions, arugula, truffle oil. Vegetarian.
- Crispy Zucchini — $12.95 — Parmesan crusted, sesame soy dip. Vegetarian.
None of them are new. A review of the restaurant from its opening year describes the same gnocchi — grilled chicken, sweet peppers, rapini, mole cream sauce, in that order — and lists Forest Mushroom among the flatbreads. This is a menu going through its own attic. Nothing came off to make room, either: the list simply got six lines longer.
Atlantic put out a fall menu, then took it back
For about a day, Atlantic in Celestial Park had gone autumnal. Corn Chowder had given way to an Atlantic Lobster Bisque — Maine lobster infused with curry, poured tableside over giardiniera and a limoncello marshmallow — and four entrées had quietly changed underneath their own names:
- Seared Scallops traded arborio rice and romanesco for Carolina gold grits, kabocha squash, braised kale and roasted chestnuts.
- Verlasso Salmon swapped spring vegetables for a honey-dijon lacquer with parsnip-fennel purée.
- All-Natural Bone-in Chicken Breast dropped the stuffed pasta and fava beans for harissa and a crispy polenta cake.
- Atlantic Filet Mignon put Brussels sprouts where the asparagus was.
Then it all went back. The chowder returned, the bisque vanished, and the four entrées are once again describing spring. Only one change survived: Lion's Mane Steak is now Wild Mushroom Steak, with "chef selected grilled mushroom" in place of a promise about which mushroom.

Grand Floridian Cafe's brunch menu finally got the memo
Grand Floridian Cafe closed for refurbishment on July 20 and is due back in November, with brunch relocated to Cítricos in the meantime. Its menu page kept right on serving brunch until September 11, when all 106 lines of it came down at once — the Mickey-shaped Waffle at $16, Seasonal Buttermilk Pancakes at $19, Eggs Benedict at $17, and a cocktail list led by a $20.50 Citrus Old Fashioned.
The dinner menu, meanwhile, is still up. Complete, unchanged, and entirely theoretical.
Nemo swims back to Art of Animation
Landscape of Flavors has the I'm Nemo Cheesecake again at $6.29 — cheesecake under a shimmering blue "ocean" glaze, with graham cracker "sand" and a white chocolate Nemo on top. It had been missing since the spring, and it is back on both the breakfast and the lunch-and-dinner boards, because a resort food court should absolutely let you have themed cheesecake at 8 a.m.

Not a single one. Nine additions, two removals, and nobody raised a price — which, for an Orlando menu week, is its own kind of news.
