The House Cocktails Got Repriced, and a Closed Restaurant Put Its Brunch Menu Back

Walt Disney World keeps a house cocktail list — the same handful of drinks, the same ingredients in the same order, printed at restaurants that otherwise have nothing to do with each other. It arrived in October 2024 as a single lineup of breakfast cocktails rolled out across a dozen venues. On September 14 that list got repriced, and it did not move in one direction.

The Sunrise Margarita goes up, the Bloody Mary goes down

The Sunrise Margarita — Teremana Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier, agave, lime, smoked chili bitters — went from $18.50 to $20.50 across eight menus at once: 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Steakhouse 71, The Crystal Palace, The Plaza Restaurant, Tusker House, Grand Floridian Cafe and the Grand Floridian's private dining menu. Two dollars, a hair under 11 percent.

That puts it level with the Legacy Mimosa, which has been $20.50 at twenty-one restaurants for a while. The margarita has caught up with the rest of the list.

With one exception. Tusker House prints the Sunrise Margarita twice — $20.50 under Breakfast Cocktails, and $17.50 under Specialty Cocktails, where it still lists its ingredients in the older order. Of the eight menus pouring this drink, Tusker House is the only one showing any price below $20.50, which makes it, as published, the cheapest Sunrise Margarita at Walt Disney World by three dollars. It is also the only menu currently disagreeing with itself about the number, so read that $17.50 as something the website says rather than something to plan an afternoon around.

The Bloody Mary went the other way. Tito's and house-made mix, $17.50 down to $17.00, at Ale & Compass, Cape May Cafe, Cinderella's Royal Table, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe's dinner menu. Fifty cents is not a headline on its own. Fifty cents downward, on the same day two dollars went upward on another drink from the same house list, is a more interesting fifty cents.

Neither move appears to have been reported elsewhere.

Grand Floridian Cafe restored a brunch it isn't serving

Grand Floridian Cafe has been closed since July 20 for a refurbishment. Dinner reservations open again on November 2; brunch has been running down the hall at Cítricos in the meantime, and brunch bookings at the Cafe itself are not yet on sale for any date.

On September 11 its brunch menu came off the website — all 106 lines of it, from the Bananas Foster-style Steel-cut Oatmeal to the Worms 'n' Dirt. On September 14 all 106 came back.

They came back almost exactly as they left. Same dishes, same sections, same prices — with three exceptions, every one of them a cocktail:

• Bloody Mary — $15.50 → $17.50
• Island Fusion Punch — $15.50 → $16.50
• Sunrise Margarita — $18.50 → $20.50

A restaurant that has not served brunch since July came back with its brunch drinks two dollars dearer. The margarita move matches the open restaurants to the cent, which is the clearest sign that this is one bar list maintained in one place rather than eight kitchens arriving at the same number.

And as at Tusker House, the page argues with itself: the Bloody Mary is $17.50 on the restored brunch menu and $17.00 on the dinner menu, both live at the same time.

T-REX raises thirteen dishes by pocket change

Over at Disney Springs, T-REX put through the most restrained increase of the bunch: thirteen dishes, none of them by more than fifty cents.

Mozzarella Sticks ($15.99 → $16.49), the Caesar-saurus Salad ($20.49 → $20.99) and the New York Strip ($46.29 → $46.79) each took fifty cents. Four items took thirty. Six took twenty, including Mes-O-Bones, now $31.99.

The discipline is in the endings. Every one of these prices finished in a nine before and finishes in a nine after — a menu that would evidently rather move a dish twenty cents than let it land on a round number.

The Oak & Star Tavern thins out the bar

The Oak & Star Tavern in Celestial Park cut five drinks and brought in one. Off the draft list went Abita Amber Lager, Bud Light and Left Hand Milk Stout; Modelo Negra left the bottled list; and NÜTRL gave way to Sun Cruiser Iced Tea + Vodka, the only new name on the board.

That takes the tavern from thirteen beers, ciders and seltzers down to nine. Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, Michelob Ultra, Modelo Especial, Crooked Can High Stepper IPA, Strongbow and the grapefruit wheat ale called The Speechless Astronomer all stay. Dropping Bud Light while keeping a bourbon-barrel-aged ale from Lexington is a choice, and not the one most theme park bars would make.
