A Disney World Pool Bar Just Quietly Dropped a Must-Try New Breakfast

We didn't expect a poolside bar to deliver one of our favorite new morning treats at Walt Disney World, but Disney's Saratoga Springs is doing just that.

When you are planning out your Walt Disney World mornings, pool bars do not usually make the itinerary. You are either running to rope-drop a park, dining with characters, or grabbing a quick Mickey waffle at your resort's main food court. But if you happen to be staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa—or just looking for a peaceful morning escape—there is a poolside spot that deserves a place on your radar.

The Paddock Grill is the quiet quick-service kiosk serving the resort's sprawling Paddock Pool. What makes it special in a sea of Disney pool bars is that it actually serves breakfast. While most similar spots across Disney property do not open their shutters until lunchtime, this spot starts welcoming guests bright and early at 7:30 AM.

And thanks to a massive resort-wide menu overhaul that brought 95 new food items across Walt Disney World, The Paddock Grill has quietly launched two brand-new breakfast options that are genuinely worth rolling out of bed for.

The New Showstopper: Chocolate-Hazelnut Latte

First up is the Chocolate-Hazelnut Latte ($5.79). You can order this hot or iced, but given the soaring Florida summer heat, the iced version is the clear winner.

At first glance, it looks incredibly indulgent, with a heavy-handed swirl of chocolate drizzle lining the inside of the cup. However, once you stir everything up, the flavors blend beautifully. Instead of being an overwhelming sugar bomb, you get a wonderfully balanced mix where the nutty hazelnut actually takes center stage over the chocolate. If you love sweet lattes, this alone is worth the stroll over to the Paddock area. It stands right up there with the best specialty coffee treats we've tried lately, like the Toasted Coconut Affogato over at Disney Springs.

The Savory Fuel: Steak, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Wrap

To keep that caffeine from hitting on an empty stomach, the grill also added the Steak, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Wrap ($11.79). It is a sizable flour tortilla stuffed with scrambled eggs, steak, melted cheese, and red bell peppers, served alongside a generous portion of crispy potato barrels (tater tots, for the purists) and salsa for dipping.

While it is a fairly standard breakfast wrap, it is executed incredibly well. The wrap is satisfyingly filling, and dipping it into the included salsa elevates the whole meal. Our only minor complaint? We would have loved just a slightly higher ratio of steak to egg. That being said, it is a fantastic, savory breakfast option that easily beats out standard food court fare.

If you aren't staying at Saratoga Springs, we wouldn't necessarily suggest taking three buses just to secure the wrap. But if you are a Disney Vacation Club member resting up at the resort, or if you simply want a slow-paced, crowd-free morning with a killer latte by the water, skipping the main carriage house in favor of this poolside patio is an absolute pro move.

And if you decide to wander back over here later in the day, the Paddock Grill also recently added a Chicken-Bacon Waffle Cone with Sriracha Hot Honey ($10.29) and a refreshing Kiwi-Watermelon Spritz ($18.50). It seems this little poolside retreat is determined to have the most surprising menu of the summer.
