When you think of mid-June dining in Central Florida, your mind probably drafts images of ice-cold toasted coconut affogatos or viral, sugar-dusted sprinkle donuts. It almost certainly does not go to a piping-hot, heavy cardboard bowl of gravy-smothered french fries.

Yet, here we are.

Disney Springs has quietly rolled out its new summer menu updates, and the breakout star isn't a refreshing cocktail or a colorful pastry. It's the new Beef and Mushroom Poutine at The Daily Poutine. For $12.99, this savory powerhouse is easily one of the best-value quick bites in all of Walt Disney World—provided you can survive eating it under the glaring Florida sun.

The Breakdown: Meat, Mushrooms, and... Lime?

If you're unfamiliar with The Daily Poutine, it’s a small, brick-faced kiosk located in Town Center. It is entirely outdoors with zero dedicated seating, meaning you’ll be hunting down a nearby bench to eat.

While they are famous for their classic Canadian and Korean BBQ iterations, the new Beef and Mushroom Poutine is a serious gourmet upgrade. Here is what $13 gets you:

  • Thick, gourmet-cut French fries
  • Slow-cooked beef brisket
  • Earthy button mushrooms
  • Rich brown poutine gravy
  • Squeaky classic cheese curds
  • A drizzle of bright lime crema curds

Our friends over at the Disney Food Blog gave the dish a glowing review, noting that the brisket melts in your mouth and the brown gravy is exceptionally thick and rich. The fries themselves hold up beautifully—crispy on the exterior, fluffy on the inside, and heavily salted to cut through the richness of the meat.

The button mushrooms add a wonderful, rustic earthiness. They aren’t packed into every single bite, but when you do catch one, it grounds the dish's flavor. Meanwhile, the lime crema curds add a highly necessary pop of brightness to keep the heavy brown gravy from feeling totally overwhelming.

The Mid-Summer Heat Caveat

Let's keep it real: Orlando in June is practically a swamp. Walking up to a kiosk and ordering a steaming bowl of brisket, gravy, and melted cheese curds is a physical commitment. It is a incredibly heavy meal.

If you try to tackle this by yourself on a 92-degree afternoon, you are going to need a very long nap afterward.

Our advice? Share it. The portion size at The Daily Poutine is notoriously massive, making this a perfect, budget-friendly shareable lunch for two. Alternatively, save this snack for later in the evening when the sun dips below the horizon, the Disney Springs string lights turn on, and a slight breeze rolls in off the water. It’s a much friendlier environment for hot gravy.

A Very Cheesy Summer: EPCOT is Next

This new menu addition is just the opening act for a massive summer of poutine across the resort. Over in [epcot], the park’s longtime snack staple, Refreshment Port, is currently walled off for a major transformation. On July 1, 2026 (Canada Day, naturally), it will officially reopen as La Poutinerie.

Sponsored by Air Canada, the permanent new kiosk will expand the park’s french-fry game even further:

"...La Poutinerie is sponsored by Air Canada, and promises to deliver ‘a Canadian classic with a twist.’"

— Walt Disney World, Official Announcement

When La Poutinerie opens, it will serve up "Québec: L’authentique" ($10.99) alongside a spectacular "Montréal: Viande Fumée" ($12.49) featuring smoked meat, pickles, and mustard gravy.

Until those EPCOT gates open, however, Disney Springs is carrying the torch. Head over to Town Center, grab some extra napkins, find some shade, and dig into the best $13 savory snack on property.
